Activities

Monthly Meetings

Our monthly meetings are held at Trinity Catholic School, St. Christopher Catholic Church, 1420 Grandview Avenue, Columbus, OH 43212. The meetings begin at 2 p.m., see the Calender of Events for more information. We celebrate our anniversary at our October meeting with a special party and Silent Auction.  At our December meeting we celebrate the holidays with the biggest Basket Raffle you've ever seen! We also announce the Irish Woman of the Year. Our Member of the year is announced at our January Meeting.

Charitable Work

Through our events and activities we are able to raise money to further our charitable work. In 2001 we gave over $12,000 to Central Ohio charities. Each year at Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter we adopt several families and make sure they have a happy holiday. At Easter we prepare baskets for the elderly and orphaned. We contribute to St. Patrick's Church, The Irish Way, The Shamrock Club, The Dominican Home Health Care, The Holy Rosary Center For Women, The Holy Family Soup Kitchen, Equestrian Therapy, Columbus Christ Child, Irish Political Prisoners Chilren's Holiday, St. Stephen's Respite, Salesian Boys and Girls Club and Pilot Dogs of Central Ohio. Each year we review the needs in our community and work to give to those in need.

Election of Officers

Every May we elect a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and three Board Members. All regular and honorary members who have paid their dues one month prior to the election are eligible to vote. Officers and Board members serve for one year and may not serve in the same office for more than two consecutive terms.
