On September 15, 2002 an Ohio Historical Society Marker was dedicated on McFerson Commons in Columbus' Arena District. This marker is a tangible reminder of the past contributions of earlier Columbus Irish citizens.
The Daughters of Erin was one of the marker's sponsors and its members
provided strong help and support for this project. DOE member, Julie McGhee, initiated the marker effort and served as Chairperson of the Irish Marker Committee.
